Diane Hoover

Diane came home to Grants Pass after serving for 26 years in the United States Medical Service Corps in 2011 to become the Josephine County Public Health Director. She stepped down from her position as the health director in the summer of 2017, and has exciting plans to stay engage with the council in a new capacity, which will be announced soon!

Diane is very interested in the food system work in relation to how it corresponds with predictors and drivers of health. She is very involved in the community, serves on several boards and brings tremendous connections to the council. Specifically, she is interested in homelessness and food insecurity and how they intersect with health.
