Mapping the Network

Sustainable Food System Chart

Join us on Weds April 17th from 4:30-6:30 pm at the Jacksonville Library Community Room for an evening of sharing, connection, and networking!

What: The Rogue Valley Food System Network (RVFSN) is a cross-sector, multi-county, and cross watershed organization. In this gathering, we aim to seek clarity on the question of “who are the players of the RV Food System Network?” and continue to identify key alliances and gaps in interaction.

Who: Anyone who eats! We are particularly interested in inviting key stakeholders, those individuals who may be leverage points to greater networks.

Outcomes:
1. A regional mind mapping tool that supports the various organizations in learning who is doing what in food systems work
2. A roster of partners who consider themselves part of the Rogue Valley Food System Network
3. Growing the network of partner organizations and individuals who have a greater literacy around what is happening in the Rogue Valley around Food Systems.
4. To encourage the building of new relationships and to nurture existing relationships.

“Mapping is never done. It is never complete, nor ever completely accurate. That doesn’t matter. Community network mapping is about boosting participation, creating a sense of community and empowerment. It is much more about the process than about the artifact.”
