A Local Solution for a Hungry Year

When federal food purchasing programs ended this year, our Rogue Valley farmers and food banks lost critical funding — and many families lost access to healthy, local food.
But our community isn’t waiting for someone else to fix it. We’re doing what we do best: coming together.

The Rogue Valley Good Food Fund is a local effort to keep fresh, healthy food flowing — from the fields of our local farmers to the tables of our neighbors in need.

HOW IT WORKS:.

  1. You donate.
    Every dollar goes directly into the Rogue Valley Good Food Fund. See form above or click on any “donate” link on our website to give today.

  2. We buy from local farmers.
    The fund gives food banks and farmer collectives the resources to purchase locally grown produce right here in the Rogue Valley.

  3. We feed our community.
    Those fresh fruits and vegetables are distributed to families who need them most — keeping our community healthy, nourished, and thriving.

WHY IT MATTERS

In the past three years, local groups like Josephine County Farm Collective and A Greater Applegate have purchased over $200,000 in fresh produce from local farmers – feeding hundreds of families and supporting local agriculture.

But now, that funding is gone.
Nationwide, over $1 billion in local food purchasing funds disappeared this year. SNAP cuts mean demand for food aid is rising — just as funding has dried up.

We can’t replace those billions, but we can make a real difference right here at home.

OUR GOAL

We’re raising $100,000 to purchase fresh, local food for Rogue Valley families this holiday season and beyond.
Together, we can make sure our farmers can keep growing and our neighbors can keep eating well.
